3. Check the Startup Types of Steam Services

Step 1: To open the Run box, press Windows + R on your keyboard.

Step 2:Type services.msc into the Run box and hit Enter.

Step 3: In the services list, look for the Steam Client Service. From the right-click menu, choose Properties.

Step 4: If the service is running, click the Stop button under the Service status to stop it.

Step 5: Ensure that the Start type is Automatic. If it isn’t already set to Automatic, do so now.

Step 6: To complete the update, click Apply and OK.
