Where can I obtain sand boots? (while using the snow boots)

The sand boots are a good example of how Breath of the Wild handled armour differently than prior Legend of Zelda games. The attire is the reward for finishing The Eighth Heroine side quest, which allows you to travel faster across sandy regions. We’ll guide you how to accomplish it and where you need to go.

WHAT IS THE EIGHTH HEROINE SIDE QUEST AND HOW DO I GET IT?

In southwestern Hyrule, travel to Gerudo town. (The closest warp point is Daqo Chisay shrine.)

Outside, a man named Bozai can be found running about the town’s boundaries. Speak with him to start the side quest The Eighth Heroine.

He’ll also provide you with snow boots, which will allow you to travel faster while knee-deep in (you guessed it) snow. This is especially crucial because the path to the Bronze Giant, which you must capture with your camera, is (surprisingly) covered in deep snow.

You can now return to Bozai and complete the task. You may also do something that isn’t really, uh, fair but it is very quick. You can take another image here and present it to Bozai. If you’re interested in side quests, check out our guide to The Forgotten Sword.

WHERE DO I FIND THE EIGHTH HEROINE SIDE QUEST?

In summary, you must locate and photograph the titular eighth heroine. Because the route to the Gerudo Highlands (your destination) is paved with gold, our walkthrough will show you how to get there.

What WEAPONS AND ARMOR SHOULD BE BRINGED.

Put on your warmest clothes and your snow boots, which will help you go faster through the snow, before you begin climbing the slopes. If you’re seeking for warm armour, the snowquill armour set, which can be found near Rito village, is a good option.

Fire-based weapons should also be included in your arsenal (and you can buy fire arrows in Gerudo town.) The foes in front of you have a cold elemental weakness. You’ll have a tremendous edge if you have a fire-based weapon and fire arrows. A single hit from a blazing arrow kills a lot of foes.

WHERE DO I LOOK FOR THE EIGHTH HEROINE?

The eighth heroine may be found northwest of Gerudo town in the Gerudo Highlands. To find the exact spot, look through the gallery above.

You can rent a sand seal and go northwest to reach there. You can also warp to the shrine of Kuh Takkar. We strongly advise beginning at the shrine, as the path leading there is completely brimming with treasure.

Finally, because it will be a long voyage, consider eating meals or drinking elixirs that will help you go faster.

THE QUESTION OF THE EIGHTH HEROINE

Head northwest, up the mountains, from the Kuh Takkar shrine.

Keep magnesis on hand and check it frequently. On the journey up, there are numerous treasure chests with goodies such as a golden bow, rupees, various types of arrows, and golden claymores. Use magnesis to take out a treasure box buried in the snow and reap the riches.

When you reach the position mentioned above, take advantage of the updraft with your paraglider to make some quick progress, always going northwest.

HOW TO TAKE THE PERFECT PHOTO

While paragliding, you’ll most certainly come across the eighth heroine. It can be used to land on her hands. As demonstrated above, open your camera and take a picture of her head and torso.

WHERE DO I FIND THE EIGHTH HEROINE SIDE QUEST?

Return to the Daqo Chisay shrine, which is located on the outskirts of Gerudo town. Speak with Bozai and tell him you need your sand boots. (You may have to track him down, but if you’re doing The Eighth Heroine side quest, his location will always appear on your map.)

To receive the sand boots, you’ll have to return the snow boots, but if you see Bozai in a tent outside the main entrance to Gerudo town, you’ll begin The Forgotten Sword side quest, which will return the snow boots.
