Prepare to harvest some Empire Hunts.

In Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Cloudstrike is a new Exotic sniper rifle. It has the ability to deal significant area and boss damage, as well as clear an entire Crucible team in a single shot.

Cloudstrike, on the other hand, is not obtained through an Exotic quest such as The Lament Exotic sword. Instead, you’ll have to grind for Cloudstrike and unlock Elective Difficulty Empire Hunts.

Here’s how to get your hands on this powerful new sniper weapon.

STEP 1: COMPLETE VARIKS’ SABOTAGE MISSIONS AND UNLOCK EMPIRE HUNTS

You must first finish Variks’ post-campaign missions before you can properly begin farming for Cloudstrike. You should be good to go once you’ve completed the initial Sabotage tasks and gained the ability to purchase Empire Hunts.

Note: If you get to Step 4 and don’t have access to the right Sabotage missions, you might have to do some of the early Sabotage quests first.

STEP 2: FINISH OLD SECRETS AND TAKE ON NEW CHALLENGES

Variks received a new quest:Old Secrets, New Challenges, once players finished the Deep Stone Crypt raid for the first time. Take up this quest and travel to the designated place on the map. You’ll be thrown into an Exo Challenge as a result of this. Follow the goal until you’ve completed it.

To get this, you don’t need to have completed the Deep Stone Crypt raid.

STEP 3: MAKE A DIFFICULT RAIN FALLS

When Old Secrets, New Challenges went live, so did the Exo Stranger’s A Hard Rain Falls mission. Pick up the mission from her and get ready to work in Europa’s Eclipsed Zone. Looking to the right of the map, where it says “Eclipsed Zone” and then one of the three zones beneath it, you can discern which of the zones is the weekly Eclipsed zones.

To complete this quest, simply kill opponents or do activities in the Eclipsed Zone. In this case, a Heroic Public Event and a couple Patrols in the Eclipsed Zone are the best options. Return to the Exo Stranger after you’ve finished.

Variks’ final set of Sabotage tasks is now available.

STEP 4: SABOTAGE OF VARIKS: EUROPEAN EXPLORER 1 AND EUROPEAN EXPLORER 2

Choose the Adept difficulty from the Empire Hunt node on the map every week – Cloudstrike is a rare weapon. You can’t do them all at once since you’ll have to finish them in the correct order. You can begin farming for Cloudstrike once you’ve cleared both.

EXPLORER OF EUROPE 1

This is a simple sabotage. On Europa, all you have to do is kill foes with Kinetic, Energy, and Heavy weaponry. Return to Variks when you’ve completed that task.

EUROPEAN EXPLORER 2

This sabotage is a little more difficult, but we have a quick solution. Throughout the Empire Hunts, you must slay 30 formidable foes. Here you have two choices. You can either play Empire Hunts normally or follow our instructions.

Pick up the Dark Priestess Empire Hunt from Variks for our method. To begin the mission, complete the attunement stages until you see the flag on your map. Turn it on.

Go forward when you first land and kill the orange-bar foes that emerge from the Fallen Skiff. Then assassinate the Captain with the yellow bar near the elevator. Take the elevator to the top and kill the five orange-bar Vandals who await you. Stop doing what you’re doing. You’ll have eight formidable opponent kills and be standing right next to the flag when you return to Europa. Reload it and repeat the process three times more.

Return to Variks after you’re finished.

STEP 5: EMPIRE HUNTS FOR FARM ELECTIVE DIFFICULTY

With European Explorer 2 out of the way, you can move on to Empire Hunts of Elective Difficulty. This is where you can farm for Cloudstrike, but be aware that it’ll be a pain in the neck.

Form a Fireteam of three (you can do it alone, but it will take considerably longer) and commit to running the Hunt until you all have Cloudstrike. Choose the Adept difficulty from the Empire Hunt node on the map every week – Cloudstrike is a rare weapon. drop on all levels, thus the easier the better. Run the Empire Hunt until every member of your group has received it. It appears on the task completion screen rather than the boss.

Our group of three took about two hours to complete, and it took between eight and fifteen runs for all of our party members to complete. We recommend completing this in a single day rather than dragging it out across several days. Because the Empire Hunt is held once a week, we were able to clear runs in around five minutes, making the procedure considerably more efficient.

THE EXOTIC CLOUDSTRIKE SNIPER RIFLE

The Cloudstrike sniper rifle excels in crowd control, which is something that most sniper rifles struggle with.

Mortal Polarity is an Exotic perk that lets you strike an enemy corpse with lightning if you kill it with a headshot. In PvP, this one-shots enemy Guardians and causes tremendous damage to nearby foes.

Stormbringer is its secondary perk, which causes a lightning storm if you hit numerous precision shots. This is beneficial for boosting boss damage.
